Atlantic Snow Crab (Chinoecetes opilio)

Atlantic Snow Crab are harvested by inshore vessels using baited conical pots with minimum size netting which permits smaller female crab and other fish species to escape. Snow crab are landed quickly and processed live to ensure maximum quality. They are processed into a variety of size graded cooked products, raw clusters and raw legs. Snow crab meat is a seafood delicacy with rich flavor and moist, firm texture. The product is widely used in North America, Asia and Europe and is an important restaurant and retail product.

Blue Mussels (Mytilus edulis)

Canadian Blue Mussels are cultured in the clean, cold North Atlantic Ocean. Our aquaculture sites, water and mussel quality are monitored by the Department of Fisheries and Oceans and Department of Environment. Our mussels are grown on biodegradable socks in deep icy-cold clean water and are harvested at maturity with maximum meat yield. Allen's Fisheries Limited supplies live-fresh mussels to the North American market year round and have a full line of secondary processed frozen products. Mussels provide excellent nutrition and are consumed internationally as appetizers and accompaniments in a variety of seafood recipes.

Atlantic Lobster (Homarus americanus)

Atlantic Lobsters are harvested by small inshore vessels (< 30') using baited pots. Fishers size grade and return undersize lobsters and egg bearing female lobsters to the ocean unharmed during the harvesting process. Lobster are landed quickly and placed into salt water live storage to ensure maximum quality. Lobster are processed into a variety of size graded raw and cooked product forms. Atlantic lobster is a seafood delicacy with characteristic sweet flavor and moist firm texture. Lobster from Newfoundland and Labrador is hard shelled with a high meat yield and offers exceptional taste quality to consumers.
